Standers and gait trainers are not mutually exclusive, and both have a place for children with neuromotor disorders. Standers and gait trainers are not duplicate equipment. They both provide weight-bearing activities for individuals with neuromotor disorders, but they have individual characteristics that make them both needed to facilitate the development of gross motor skills.
